Diva has severed the outdoor cable that runs to the DirecTV dish on top of our house.
And here we were today, fiddling with the receiver, resetting it, unplugging it and waiting, calling customer service, etc. and ALL THE WHILE it was ....... Guess Who.
That's right. She pulled down the cable, chewed it up and quietly severed it.
Sigh.
(I wonder if we bought the "Doggie Destruction Service Plan"?)

She sounds like our dog. I have a yellow lab. She just turned 7 and still cannot be trusted 100%. If one thing is left on our floor (I have 3 small kids mind you) she will shred it and destroy it. When she was a puppy we moved into a brand new house, just built that year. We left her alone for a little while and she ate the wall. Yes, I said ATE THE WALL!!!! Couldn't believe it. She was crated for years until one day she kept trying to get out and she cut herself. So that was the end of that. Now she cozies herself up on my leather couch. I don't have the energy to fight her anymore. I hate that couch anyway! As long as she doesn't go on any of the other good couches or the beds, I'm ok with that.
I hope you get TV back soon. Just know that I feel your pain..... :-)
Sue my husband has "taken to the bed" he is so depressed about the lack of TV. ;-)
We'll get it fixed soon... candidly, I kind of like NOT having the squawk box on!!
(Diva is our 2nd Lab.... we had one when we were newlyweds, so we KNEW what we were getting into... but clearly we'd forgotten the MAGNITUDE of their destructive powers!)
I'm with you on doing without the squawk box every once in a while. Ed and I are battling over whether to get one in the bedroom. I say NO.
I wish we were closer. I would run that destructiveness right out of gorgeous Diva. Or not. I may just sit there thinking how cute she is and feeding her treats. Ha! :-)

KBL - I do need to exercise her more (and myself more, quite frankly!) Hubster is off work today so we're taking them to a HUGE park near our house (it even has equestrian trails through the woods!)... The doggies will come home tired and satisfied! :)
We finally got a TV in our bedroom, but after about 8 years of marriage. (As newlyweds, you definitely DON'T need a TV in your room.)
I am not going to let Dogman read this blog- he has too many fine living ideas now - like a leather chair that was supposed to be for Meme - but after some inspection Dogman took it over- white dog and black chair- that way it and he will never be sat on--
